In this cosy 4-room HDB, a Scandinavian-minimalist design direction is taken to reflect an open, airy and functional starter home. One of the elements that tie the space together is the use of wood tones throughout, reflected from wall to floor tiles, and down to a curated selection of oak and walnut furniture and furnishings.

From the entrance, a structural change to the kitchen wall opens up the dining area to comfortably fit 6-8 people with added storage and counter top space on the side. A “Denim Drift” blue wall seamlessly connects the dining to the living room, and brings a sense of serenity to the home. Neutral shades on the floor and cabinets further accentuate the Scandinavian appeal.

In the master bedroom, a gold-specked mint coloured wallpaper creates a subtle-luxe accent in the otherwise clean and modern aesthetic. Another structural change here connects the master bedroom to an open wardrobe space for the young couple via a pair of sliding doors with a simple yet sophisticated lattice design.
