In this complete overhaul of a 3-bedroom apartment, we redefined the living space by giving prominence to the dining area that is complemented with a statement pendant; paired with the existing architectural ceiling detail. This gave rise to a warm and cozy nook for family dinners and entertaining. The overall palette is a light and neutral one as we allow the personality of the family to shine through – evidently in personal items and memorabilia collected from around the world through their travels.
Another key focal space in the home is the kitchen. By breaking down a wall, airflow is dramatically improved, and more light is introduced to the once dark and enclosed workspace. The result is an open kitchen that is clean-lined and functional. A feature of the kitchen and also at the hallway would be the application of accent tiles. This added not only texture, but also injected energy and fun into the home for its inhabitants.
The bedrooms, study room and bathrooms were re-designed to be practical, yet be able to withstand time in terms of its aesthetics. Built-in storage that blends well into the overall design was essential in creating a clutter-free home.
