Designed for a young family of 5, we took on an approach that is about evoking a sense of calm; an understated yet elevated aesthetic that will grow with the family in years to come. While the bedrooms were kept intact, walls were taken down to open up the kitchen, overlooking the living space.

One particular spatial challenge we had was having to work around a large structural concrete block right in the centre of the living area. By integrating much-needed storage and additional counter space with a built-in TV console, the overall structure has now blended seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Foundational finishes around the home were kept to a neutral palette, with textures coming through from elements like the counter tops, accent walls and down to the finer details of window treatment and wardrobe knobs.
